Etsy adventkalender 15 december

Vandaag staan we op de Etsy adventkalender! http://dutchhandmade.com/?p=8112 zowel op de Nederlandse, Duitse als de Franse site,   Op deze super leuke kalender wordt iedere dag tot de kerst iemand uitgekozen die een shop op Etsy heeft. Die is geintervieuwd en er is gevraagd om een  niet te moeilijk doe het zelf projectje voor Kerst te verzinnen. Wij hebben een kerstlantaarntje gemaakt met handgesponnen wol uit ons eigen dorp. Caitlin en ik mochten dit jaar voor de tweede keer bij het scheren van de schapen zijn en zoeken dan de mooiste of leukste schapen uit. Daarna moet de wol uitgezocht, gewassen. enkele keren gespoeld, gekaard en gesponnen worden. Soms ook nog getwijnd. En dan wassen we het nog een keer in het ecologische Eucalan wat de wol weer zachter maakt. Dit is om de twist te zetten (anders kronkeld de draad te veel) Je kan het hoesje voor het lantaarntje natuurlijk gewoon met creme wol haken, maar als je graag onze zelfgesponnen wol wilt uitproberen kan je op Etsy een klein pakketje bestellen.  Dit bevat ca. 15 gram handgesponnen wol (op de onderste foto links)  en 1 bijpassende haaknaald. Dit is voor 1 hoesje.
Let op: voor het potje en theelichtje moet je zelf zorgen. Dit is trouwens witte Gotlandwol, een mooie fijne licht glanzende vezel. Toen we dit schaap zagen lopen wisten we nog niet dat het best speciaal is dat we precies dit schaap uitzochtten, we vonden gewoon dat ze leuke lange krulletjes had. De twee andere patroontjes komen ook nog op deze blog!

On this nice calender you can see a tutorial for a free DIY little christmas project. These projects are of designers who own an Etsy shop like us. There is an intervieuw and some links to the shop owners blog or site. We are so excited! We made a crochet candle sleeve. It is made out of wool from our village. Caitlin and I were allowed to watch the sheep shaved for the second year. We can pick the ones we like most. After that we wash, rinse, card and spin the tread. And sometimes twine it with another tread. We wash it again to set the twist so the yarn doesn''t curl up. You can make the candle sleeve with every cream coloured yarn, but iff you like to try some Dutch handspun yarn from our village you can find a DIY kit with 15 gram yarn and a crochet hook on our Etsy shop This is for one sleeve. The glass jar and the candle is not included. This wool is Gotland wool, a beautiful long slightly shining fiber. When we saw the sheep we didn't know that it was kind of special, we just like her long curly wool. The other two patterns will soon be on this blog too.

Dit is het patroon van het middelste hoesje op de foto.

Haak volgens het telpatroon.

Haak dus 31 lossen en 1 keerlosse.

Door meer of minder losse steken te maken kan je het hoesje op maat maken voor jouw potje.

Heb je hulp nodig bij het haken kan je op onze blog kijken voor haakles filmpjes in het Nederlands. Kijk anders op You tube of vraag hulp aan je oma of buurvrouw.

Follow the diagram.

So start with 31 chain stiches, and 1 extra to turn.

If you make more or less chains you can adjust the size for your jar.

inspiratie, Inspiration

Ik ben dol op het lezen van blogs van crafty girls van overal vandaan. Ze inspireren me met hun foto's en kleurgebruik. Ik moet nog leren om, als ik een foto opsla, er gelijk hun blognaam en link erbij te zetten zodat ik dat ook kan delen. Om ze zelf de eer te geven die ze verdienen! In tussentijd vind ik het jammer om de foto's in mijn computer te verstoppen, ze zijn te mooi daarvoor! Als je een plaatje van jouw hand herkent laat het me dan weten en dan zet ik je blog erbij of als je dat liever wil verwijder ik het plaatje.

I love reading blogs written by crafty girls from all over the world. They really inspire me to make new choises with colour. I need to learn to remember the blogs I've got them from. To give these Lady's the credits they urn!!!! In the meanwhile I didn't want to hold these pictures in my picturelibrary, they are to pretty and ought to be shown! But if you recognise your work please tell me and I will delete or put your name under it!

Ik maak de collages trouwens met het programma Picasa. Dat is een gratis fotobewerkingsprogramma dat ik vaak gebruik en nogal blij mee ben. Een waarschuwing is wel op zijn plaats, het programma zet alle plaatjes op de computer gelijk in Picasa en niet iedereen vind dat prettig. Het is vrij makkelijk terug te draaien maar er zijn mensen (echtgenoten?) die er niet blij mee zijn.

By the way, the collages I make with Picasa. It's a free photo editor I really love and use a lot. To make collages or to edit my photo's. But be aware that this program puts all your pictures in Picasa and you might nog like that. It is easy undone but I know some people don't like this!
