Door de vakantie en al onze ideeen kwam er niet meer van om jullie op te hoogte te houden. Maar wat ons nu weer overkomt is zo leuk! Omdat we nog maar weinig opbrengst hebben (zoals jullie weten kosten handgemaakte spulletjes heel wat tijd) konden we niet meedoen met het hippiefestival in Gorinchem. Maar we vonden het zo'n leuke sfeer en hebben ontzettend genoten. Rosa organiseerde het. Toen Caitlin in Rosa’s super leuke winkeltje met vintage kleding en spulletjes kwam (ze komt er nu langs als ze naar school fietst) vroeg Rosa of ze het leuk vind om op de botenbeurs in Gorinchem te staan op 26 september. In de Burgstraat wat het leukste creatieve straatje van Gorinchem is. http://www.botenbeursgorinchem.nl/ We mogen voor een speciaal tarief omdat we er nog niet zoveel aan overhouden! We gaan erg ons best doen om er een super leuke kraam van te maken. Zo hebben we "doe het zelf"pakketjes gemaakt voor een paddestoel tasje. Zie foto hierboven.

Because of summer holiday and so many ideas we didn’t keep you informed. But now we have such a nice surprise that we have to tell you all! Because we do this “Sweet and simple stuff” not fulltime and Handmade things are as you know a lot of work we don’t earn so much. That was the reason we couldn’t join the “Hippie festival” in Gorinchem this summer. We only visited it and we enjoyed it very much! Rosa organised it. Last week Caitlin was in Rosa’s shop (she pass it every day now she goes to Gorinchem on her bike) she has a really lovely shop with vintage fashion and vintage stuff in the Burgstraat . And she asked Caitlin whether we liked to be on the “ships” market http://www.botenbeursgorinchem.nl/ in the Burgstraat, the most creative little street of Gorinchem. We can join for a special price! This is so nice! We are doing everything we can to make our market stall very nice. We already made lovely Do It Yourself little bags with mushrooms on it. Look at the picture above.

Caitlin is vooral aan het haken en maakt een serie muisjes van handgeverfd garen. Ze worden allemaal verschillend. Maar voor de markt maken we ook kleine pakketjes voor de mensen die het zelf willen doen. We zorgen voor allerlei kleine losse materialen zodat je thuis ook een voorraadje frutsels aan kan leggen om zelf tasjes of muisjes te maken.

Caitlin does a lot of crochet lately, she make mice. Every mouse is a bit different. We also make for the market little packets for the people who want to do it themselves. We’ll bring all kind of materials in small amount for people to start there own collection of “stuff” to make lovely little bags or mice themselves.

Ik heb een etui gehaakt en netjes met de hand gevoerd, voor penseeltjes heb ik hem wat langer dan normaal gemaakt. Hier kan ik er maar een van maken een uniek etui dus. 16,= euro

I’ve made a pouch (crochet) and did the lining by hand, it’s a little bit longer than normal for brushes. I only make one of this, so an unique pouch!

I-phone hoesje, I-phone sleeve

Caitlin heeft nog een tasje voor een I-phone of een kleine camera gemaakt, haar haakwerk is inmiddels prachtig gelijk en ook het dicht naaien heeft ze zelf heel netjes gedaan.

Caitlin made another little pouch for the I-phone or a small camera. Her crochet techniques are so much better now in just a few weeks, and she also put the seams together pretty perfect now
